Improve Your Brand Awareness

The Internet is a great place to improve your brand awareness. You have access to an audience at the click of a mouse. So how can you build up your businesses awareness online?
By now, most of the world has heard of Twitter. News stations, celebrities, politicians, and the regular Joe on the street can all connect via their Twitter accounts. So why isn’t your business using Twitter?
Think of Twitter as text messaging with the world. You post short 140 character messages (tweets) that can be viewed and searched by anyone. You can share company news, links to useful information related to your niche, and ask questions from your audience to receive direct and honest answers. It connects you with your audience at the click of a tweet.
Tip: Post information relevant to your business and audience. If people like your information, they will Re-Tweet or Forward the information to their friends, growing your exposure.
Join Message Boards and Blogs in Your Niche
Branching out to other websites to share your expertise is a great way to build your awareness. Joining message boards that are in your business niche (your specialty) and participating in conversations can give you an excellent chance to help others and show that you know what you’re talking about.
Commenting on a blog topic in your business niche can also benefit you. Better yet, if you’re able, contact the owner of the blog and offer to write a guest post for them in exchange for a link in the post to your site.
Start a Blog or a Podcast
Starting your own blog is a wonderful way to raise your awareness and keep search engines on your site. As we’ve mentioned on our website, search engines love new content. If you are able to keep an up to date blog, we say go for it. You’ll be able to keep information about your company, services, and products fresh.
Many businesses have jumped into the world of podcasting (a prerecorded radio show geared toward a specific niche). Podcasts have become great marketing tools, allowing those on them to share their expertise with every listener. Grab some colleges and put together a podcast on your niche. Just make sure the content is fresh and current.
Tip: Add social buttons to your blog or podcast page so visitors can easily share the page link on Twitter, Digg, Facebook, and other social networking websites. This can encourage visitors to share your useful information with friends.
